OUR FARM (philosophy)

Welcome to Stackhouse Farms!  We are a multi-generation family owned and operated farm located near US 30 & US 31 in the north-central town of Plymouth, Indiana.  Brad & Kyle are the primary operators along with their wives, Jo and Rachael.  We are a ‘Hoosier Farming Family’!

Our farm continues to expand and diversify every year.  We specialize in irrigated crops and also focus on NON-GMO (genetically modified organism) and IP (identity preserved) corn and soybeans.  We also lead the technology front, utilizing auto steer, GPS maps, auto swath, brand new state of the art grain dryer, strip till, and high efficiency irrigation.

Though we are growing, we continue to apply age old philosophies:

  • We treat each farm as if it were our own.  We understand land is a resource.  We gain our lively hood from the land. We know that if we abuse or deplete the soils, we’re going to be the ones that lose out in the end.
  • We treat others as we would like to be treated.  We are honest, upfront, and on time.

Don’t let it fool you! Yes we’re on the web, but that doesn’t mean that we’re some big corporate farm. We take time to meet with you, and we’re almost always available via email or phone.  Having this website is our 21st century coffee shop.  You can keep up with us and let us know what you’re up to as well!

We want you!  We are always looking to expand.  If you are considering selling, retiring, or changing tenants, please contact us.  It is our policy to bid on a farm only when there is going to be a true change in operators.  We don’t want to bid just to be used as a tool for a landlord to raise the rent on their tenant.  We don’t go knocking on doors either.  We respect other farm operations.  Although this is a slower way to grow, we find it creates solid, long term relationships with land owners.
